Park on the Hill

Navigating to parking spots is made easier through the Park On The Hill downtown Chapel Hill Parking Guide which includes information on metered parking, parking lots, valet parking, disability parking and bicycle parking. Click here for detailed information on rates plus how to download the ParkMobile app. On-street parking is 8 am - 6 pm Monday thru Saturday. Off-street parking is 8 am - 8 pm Monday thru Saturday. Parking is always FREE on Sundays.

UNC Campus Visitor Parking

There are several designated parking lots and decks on campus for visitors. Click here for detailed information on parking for campus events, patients & visitors to the Hospital, as well as disability parking.  PRINTABLE MAPS are also available.

Weeknight Parking on Campus

After 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, visitors will need to pay $1/night for parking in campus lots. The easiest way to do this is to download Parkmobile to your smart phone—this is the same app that Town of Chapel Hill lots use—and enter 4500 and pay $1 for the whole evening. No permit is required for weekend hours Friday 5 pm thru Monday 7:30 am.

Parking in Historic Downtown Hillsborough

Free public parking is available within easy walking distance of downtown shops, restaurants, historic sites, and government facilities through on-street parking, parking lots, and a parking deck. For detailed information, click here. Click for a PRINTABLE MAP

Parking in Downtown Carrboro

Parking is free in downtown Carrboro. All town lots have free 2 hour parking from 7 am - 5:30 pm and then unlimited after 5:30 pm in undesignated spaces during the week.There is also a public parking deck adjacent to the Hampton Inn.  Click here to view a map.
