Facility Info
- Description The North Carolina Botanical Garden has been a leader in native plant conservation and education in the southeastern United States for more than 40 years. The Garden’s mission is to inspire understanding, appreciation, and conservation of plants in gardens and natural areas and to advance a sustainable relationship between people and nature. The Education Center celebrates relationships between humans and nature through the integration of indoor and outdoor spaces. Open breezeways, comfortable porches, natural light in every room, beautiful native plant landscaping, and educational exhibits inform, delight, and invite visitors into the gardens and nature trails. The Reeves Auditorium and seminar/classrooms support the environmental, conservation, and horticultural community of our state and region and offer rental spaces to groups and organizations. The building and surrounding gardens have become a center of learning about the science and enjoyment of plants and nature.
