The Horace Williams House serves as the headquarters of Preservation Chapel Hill, and as a cultural center for the entire community. Art exhibits, concerts, lectures and other events take place regularly, and are usually free of charge. The House and grounds are available for private events through our rental program. The House is governed by Preservation Chapel Hill, and run on a day-to-day basis by the staff of the organization with significant help from volunteers who give hours of their time for this purpose. Be sure to inquire about the 'Walk this Way' educational walking tours.

Towering oaks and majestic magnolias tower over the home’s two acres, which borders historic Franklin Street near downtown Chapel Hill.
