Haunted Hillsborough

"Join Enoch Pugh (b. 1735 – d. 1771) to visit three haunted houses, two cemeteries, and a public execution site in downtown Hillsborough. On a 2.5-hour, 1.5-mile walk, you'll hear about the "haints" reported in homes or in the area, and about what was happening in colonial North Carolina that resulted in Enoch – and five other men – being hanged in the town by the British Governor. Enoch will describe real history, and verified spooky legends. An age-appropriate kids tour is offered, as well as a shorter “ghosts-only” tour. Open year-round, including most Saturday evenings.
