Chapel Hill, NC (February 28, 2025) -- The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau welcomes four new members who recently began a new term. Members of the advisory board for Orange County serve as important advocates for the economic development and tourism sector, including accommodations, restaurants, retail, transportation and local visitor attractions. The new members are listed below, along with their brief biographies.

“The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau is proud to welcome these accomplished professionals to our tourism board,” said Karen DeHart, North Carolina High School Athletics Association and Chair of the Visitors Bureau Board. “I look forward to working with them as we continue to further grow Orange County’s tourism sector and help welcome more than 2 million annual visitors to our North Carolina communities.”

Creston Woods is a hospitality executive with over four decades of leadership experience in hotel and conference center management. He served as General Manager of The Carolina Inn from 1997 – 2010. Most recently, he served as General Manager Deloitte University, Westlake, TX and Managing Director for Pyramid Global Hospitality, overseeing properties such as The Rubenstein Forum and Margaritaville Lake Conroe, before retiring in 2024. Previously, he was instrumental in the success of Benchmark Global Hospitality, where he played a key role in the pre-opening and operations of Deloitte University, an 800-room state-of-the-art hotel and conference center. Woods tenure also includes leadership roles with Destination Hotels, Doubletree Hotels, ARAMARK and ITT Sheraton Corporation, where he managed the Sheraton Redondo Beach and The Sheraton Universal Hotel.

Orange County Commissioner Sally Greene previously served on the Chapel Hill Town Council before bringing her leadership to the county level. She has dedicated over two decades to community partnerships, spearheading the Orange County Partnership to End Homelessness to her current service on the GoTriangle Board of Directors. She brings expertise in housing, criminal justice reform, and public arts, while championing balanced growth that preserves farms, local food systems, and promotes smart economic development.

Craig Lloyd operates Lloyd Dairy Farm in Efland in addition to serving as communications director at Croasdaile Village Retirement Community. A native of Orange County, Craig has a long history in marketing and communications strategy.  His career has included working as executive director of the Hillsborough Chamber of Commerce from 1997 to 20022 and he also served as executive director of the North Myrtle Beach Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau.  Craig brings his event planning and marketing expertise to iconic Orange County events such as the annual Hillsborough Hog Day, Tar Heel Antiques Festival at Lloyds Dairy Farm, Efland Rodeo and other events that raise funds and awareness of local charities.

Lisa Kaylie is the executive director of Extraordinary Ventures located in Chapel Hill. She has years of business experience in business, event planning and disability rights. A graduate of the UNC Kenan-Flagler School of Business, she also has nonprofit experience, serving on the boards of organizations like Kidzu Children’s Museum and the NC Therapeutic Riding Center. A mother to two sons, including one on the autism spectrum, she has been an active supportive of public schools. Lisa works daily in event management, planning, managing a neurodivergent team and building strategic partnerships with the community.
