Raleigh, NC —(January 18, 2019)-- Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau Director, Laurie Paolicelli, was approved to become a member of the N.C. Travel & Tourism Coalition at the regularly scheduled meeting of the board on November 13th.

Paolicelli leads the efforts of the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau, which serves as the official destination marketing organization for Orange County and operates the Visitor Center in Chapel Hill. She has been employed with Orange County since October 2005 and is also a member of the Destination Management Association International. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Superior, Paolicelli recently completed graduate certification in Technology and Communications at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

The Coalition, founded in 1991, works to maintain a healthy environment in North Carolina for the continued growth and development of the travel and tourism industry, which is important to the economy of all of our state’s 100 counties. North Carolina is the sixth most-visited state in America.

The North Carolina Travel & Tourism Coalition is a private, nonprofit trade association professional sports teams, leading resorts, popular attractions, convention and visitors bureaus, and other business organizations throughout North Carolina, all working together to promote public policies that encourage the growth and development of our state’s vital travel, tourism, and hospitality industry.
