Aspiring astronomers and star gazers will delight in the star shows at the Morehead Planetarium and Science Center. Among the fifteen some shows, The Longest Night: A Winter's Tale is a seasonal classic. It's a story of courage, generosity and renewal. The show is best for children ages 7 and older and their families. 

Celebrate the Chinese New Year in downtown Chapel Hill. The Chapel Hill LIGHTUP Lunar New Year 2020 will celebrate the Year of the Rat on February 2nd from 12:30 PM to 6 PM at 140 W. Franklin Street. FREE!

For evenings to remember, PlayMakers Repertory Company and Carolina Performing Arts Center bring music, dance, Broadway and comedy to Chapel Hill via nationally and internationally acclaimed artists.

Catch a basketball game in person or at one of our sports bars. Warning though - It gets a little mad around here especially during a UNC - Duke game! 

The Second Friday ArtWalk is a great way to experience the local art scene in Carrboro and Chapel Hill. Many venues offer refreshments and live entertainment. Best of all, it's at your leisure and FREE.
