Flautist Rebecca Troxler and Organist David Arcus will offer a concert on Sun, Sept 23, at 3pm at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Hillsborough. The program, presented by St. Matthew’s Faith & the Arts, will consist of music by C. P. E. Bach, Gabriel Fauré, J. S. Bach, Ernst Pepping, Debussy, and Hindemith. The two have collaborated since 1984, when they were Fletcher Residents in the Duke University Music Department, and their collaborations since that time have included concerts with the Chapel Choir at Duke Chapel. Troxler specializes in Baroque flute, as well as modern flute. Arcus is a composer and recognized internationally as an improviser at the organ. Tickets are $10 and will be available through the church office and at the door.
