Osvaldo Golijov’s Falling Out of Time

Osvaldo Golijov presents Falling Out of Time, a musical interpretation of David Grossman’s powerful book of the same name. With exquisite nuance, Falling Out of Time narrates a journey of grief individually and in community, exploring the theme of accompaniment in grief, and what we owe each other. The piece, a song cycle commissioned by Silkroad with a cast that includes members of the Silkroad Ensemble, traverses vast and varied emotional landscapes to finally arrive at a place where breathing is again possible.
