National Alpaca Farm Day

Perry Farm
2434 Walker Road
Hillsborough, NC 27278
Dates: September 23, 2017
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Join Perry Farm Alpacas to celebrate National Alpaca Farm Day.  This free, family-friendly event is on, rain or shine, with music by Kevin Baker and a food fundraiser for the Cedar Ridge High School FFA. Learn about the care and handling of alpacas from local alpaca farmers. Feed an alpaca or two! There will be raw fleece on display to touch; you’ll see why alpaca is called a luxury fiber. Meet the chickens of Perry Farm Alpacas: over 20 breeds plus a couple of chicks born on the farm. The eggs they produce are truly free range and come in every color that chickens can make. Say hello the farm protectors, two Anatolian Shepherd Dogs. They live with the flock and the herd, keeping every member safe from the many predators in the area. Start you holiday shopping early. Browse a variety of hand-made alpaca fleece products, including scarves, hats and gloves, all made in the USA. No reservations are required. Please leave pets at home–no dogs will be permitted on the farm.
