Join local author, Jane S. Gabin, as she reads from “The Paris Photo.” Inspired by actual events, this is the story of American soldier, Ben Gordon, and his relationship with a young mother and her son just after the Liberation of Paris from Nazi occupation in 1944. Despite the strength of this connection during the war, Ben’s eventual return to America separates the trio. Decades later, when Ben’s daughter discovers a photograph of her late father with an unknown woman and boy, she travels to Paris in order to learn more about the relationship in hopes of stitching it back together. Recommended for lovers of historical fiction and those with an interest in WWII.
