Trump is out. Biden is in. The moral bankruptcy in the White House left for Mar-a-Lago, but the Age of Lies and Deceit continues despite the transition. There will always be liars and cheaters in politics, business, sports, and every other aspect of life. Why do we seem to accept some of it (politicians’ lies, for example), but revolt against other forms of bad behavior (“Me, too”)? This course is not a deep dive into the philosophy of ethics or telling anyone how to behave. Instead, it is practical, down-to-earth, and grounded in current events. It is about recognizing, thinking about, and dealing with ethical issues that affect us all the time. Hopefully, too, it is also about having fun and stimulating “the little gray cells.” Join us for an interactive and engaging discussion, where all opinions, liberal and conservative, are welcome! Section Notes: Our Fall 2022 "Ethics, Smethics! Ethics in an Age of Lies and Deceit" course is in-person, Tuesday & Thursday, Oct 18, 20. 10-11:45am.
