Christian McBride

Groove to the music of Christian McBride, the headliner of the 2024 Carolina Jazz Festival. With the help of his band, this Grammy Award-winning bassist, composer, and bandleader will have you dancing in your seat. He has the resume to prove it. For years, McBride has served as the Artistic Director at several musical institutions, including the Newport Jazz Festival, the TD James Moody Jazz Festival, and the National Jazz Museum in Harlem. When he’s not onstage, McBride can often be found on the air as the host of two major radio programs: NPR’s Jazz Night in America and SiriusXM’s The Lowdown: Conversations With Christian.
