NEW children's book published by the Orange County Historical Museum! Because storytelling is a great way for young children to learn history, the Orange County Historical Museum has published a picture book that teaches about life in the early 1900s through the adventures of an extraordinary dog. The book, entitled Minnie Finds a Home, tells the story of a little collie puppy with a big imagination. It is available at the museum. The museum will be hosting free readings of the story on Saturday mornings at 11AM in November and December. These readings will be accompanied by a craft activity, suitable for children ages 3-10. Minnie Finds a Home was written by Courtney Smith, the museum’s Exhibits Coordinator, and was illustrated by museum volunteer Ron Weisenfeld.
