But If you prefer a mall type atmosphere, we have those too.

University Place in Chapel Hill, anchored on one end by Silverspot Cinema, has boutiques, a fitness center, restaurants, a kid's hands-on museum, and our local hometown radio station, WCHL.  plus the Chapel Hill Farmers' Market every Saturday. Note: UP is currently under renovations ransforming to a vibrant community hub, but stores and restaurants are open!

For a truly local shopping experience, head over to Carr Mill Mall in Carrboro. As the name states, Carr Mill is a former cotton mill built in 1898 known as Alberta Cotton Mill and is listed on the the National Register of Historic Places.
