  • The UNC Institute invites you to a reading, talk, and book signing with author Jay Erskine Leutze of "Stand Up That Mountain". Location: Tate-Turner-Kuralt Building at 325 Pittsboro Street, UNC Campus, Chapel Hill, NC, 27599. (parking available beginning at 5:00 PM underneath the FedEx Global Education Center) STAND UP THAT MOUNTAIN: The Battle to Save One Small Community in the Wilderness Along the Appalachian Trail by Jay Leutze (Scribner), is a classic underdog tale and the true story — akin to A Civil Action—of an outdoorsman living alone in Western North Carolina who teams up with his neighbors to save a treasured mountain and section of the Appalachian trail from being destroyed.
