SCARE-OLINA SKIES IS BACK FOR OCTOBER Celebrate the Halloween season by joining Morehead Planetarium and Science Center for “Scare-olina Skies,” a holiday-themed version of Morehead’s classic “Carolina Skies” star show. Morehead educator Amy Sayle will explore tales of the constellations through dark legends of monsters, madness and mayhem! The regular show times are Saturday, Oct. 25, 8 p.m. and Thursday, Oct. 30, 8 p.m. This version is appropriate for adults and older teens. A family-friendly version (ages 5+) will be showing on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2:30 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 26, 3:30 p.m. These will be replacing the regular “Carolina Skies” show. Ticket sales begin approximately 30 minutes before show time. Ticket prices are $7.68 for adults; $6.51 for children, students and senior citizens. (Prices do not include 7.5 percent North Carolina sales tax.) Morehead members are admitted free.
