In 2002, the North Carolina softball team began play at its new home, the Anderson Softball Stadium. The lighted facility, which measures 200 feet to all fields seats 500, and includes state-of-the-art fencing, a new scoreboard, bullpens and batting cages, as well as a separate practice/warm-up field. The complex is located off of Raleigh Road (Highway 54) behind the General Administration building. The stadium was officially dedicated April 23, 2006 in a win over Georgia Tech. Amenities in the team building include a top-of-the-line locker room, on-site training room, coaches' offices, equipment room and a spacious and fully furnished team room.
