Gardens in Bloom for the Chapel Hill, NC Spring Garden Tour in April 2010

CHAPEL HILL, NC — (December 16, 2009) —-The Chapel Hill Spring Garden Tour on April 17-18, 2010, is a self-guided tour of beautiful, distinguished gardens including flowering trees, shrubs, azaleas and other spring delights in the Lake Forest Neighborhood in picturesque Chapel Hill in central North Carolina. The ten gardens on this tour offer sculptures from the dramatic to the whimsical as well as striking water features and unusual specimen plants. An additional focus for the tour is provided by the newly completed 29,000 square foot “green” Visitor Education Center at the North Carolina Botanical Garden.

Proceeds benefit the North Carolina Botanical Garden and the educational/community service projects of the Chapel Hill Garden Club. The NCBG, part of the University of North Carolina, is a center for plant research, habitat conservation, and education.

Chapel Hill Garden Club’s biennial Spring Garden Tour Saturday, April 17, 2010 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM and Sunday, April 18, 2010 11 AM – 4:00 PM Refreshments available at serveral garden sites. Tickets are $15 in advance, $20 day of tour; Children under 16 accompanied with an adult are free. Ticket vouchers may be purchased online at http://www.chapelhillgardentour.net. Tickets are non-refundable and can be purchased by cash or check at various ticket outlets beginning in March 2010.
