My wife and I visited Chapel Hill to look at the University for graduate school and as a community to settle in for a few years. We heard a lot about Carrboro and the great community it provided for younger couples starting out. And we are big fans of alternative rock and have long heard about Cat’s Cradle, a nightclub in Carrboro that is sometimes referred to as the “Seattle of the South” for up-and-coming musicians. We loved Carrboro. When we saw the couples with Jute bags and tie-dyed shirts, we knew we were right at home. And we found affordable rentals, bike trails and lots of pets—all things that are important to us. We love the Chapel Hill-Carrboro area. We hope to make it our home.
