Located six miles west of Chapel Hill, NC, the Barnhouse at Genesis Farm is a private retreat like none other in the area. A ten-minute drive from Chapel Hill will find you off the beaten path and onto a twenty-acre working farm that applies organic methods to grow vegetables, fruits, herbs and flowers complemented by our barnyard animals. Enjoy the splendid sunsets on the deck, overlooking the barnyard, gardens and pastures.

The Barnhouse is a spacious, one bedroom apartment (900 sq ft), that comes fully-equipped and fully furnished. Queen size bed, large living/dining with standard futon. Fully-equipped kitchen and bath with separate shower/tub, standard sleeper in the living room. Property is available year round for extended stay and long-term rental only. Minimum stay of two months is required. Rent is $800.00/month (non-negotiable), plus half month’s rent deposit (if stay is six months or less). Proprietors pay all but power bill. Two credit references or credit report required. We accept cash, personal or traveler’s checks. Sorry, no credit cards accepted at this time. All you need to move in are your clothes, linens, towels and food! The unit is smoke free. Pets negotiable.
