Twenty-two years ago, Weaver Street Market opened as a cooperatively owned grocery store in Carrboro. To celebrate this anniversary, the Co-op will offer raffles, free birthday cake, tastings and gather owners and customers for a photoshoot.
Enjoy day-long specials of a regular cup of coffee for 75 cents and Weaver Street Market cookies for 50 cents on Monday, June 21.
On Thursday June 24, owners and customers are invited to be a part of the picture by gathering on the lawn in Carrboro for a giant photoshoot – potentially over 10,000 neighbors and friends. Everyone is welcome; the photo will be taken at 7 pm.
All week long enjoy tastings, balloons, and every time you shop at any WSM location enter a drawing for a gift basket filled with locally produced goodies. Winner will be chosen at random from all the entries on Monday, June 28.
Cake will be served at the Southern Village location on Tuesday, June 22, from 5-7 pm and at the Carrboro location on Wednesday, June 23 from 5-7 pm, and at the Hillsborough store on Thursday June 24 from 5-7 pm.
