Disc Golf Course Opens May 2 at Anderson Park

Disc golf (also called Frisbee Golf) is a disc game in which individual players throw a flying disc into a basket or at a target. To accommodate the growing demands for the game, the town of Carrboro has opened a new disc golf course at Anderson Park off NC Highway 54. Its official opening is May 2. The 18-hole course is a new addition to the area.
The Carolina Disc Golf Club of UNC-Chapel Hill is an officially recognized sport club at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Club members are encouraged to participate in weekly doubles tournaments and singles tournaments held throughout the year. Club members also participate in course design, maintenance, and improvement. Visit http://cf.unc.edu/discgolf/ for additional information.
