One of the world’s most spectacular ballet companies, the Bolshoi Ballet, is set to perform at Memorial Hall on the University of North Carolina campus in Chapel Hill from June 10 to 14 with the North Carolina Symphony accompanying them in the pit. This ballet company rarely tours: in the past two years they’ve appeared only in London, Paris and Amsterdam. And now they’re coming to Chapel Hill! In a stunning display of support, the public has already bought every single ticket.
The enthusiasm in our region has been overwhelming and validating. We are delighted that the Bolshoi Ballet’s visit to Chapel Hill has been met with such passionate support. It demonstrates our wider commitment to showcase significant events which, from both resident and visitor perspectives, puts Chapel Hill on the map as a vibrant, cultural area. This builds on the county’s reputation as a major center for the arts and cements our position as one of the leading places in the state for showcasing national and international cultural events.
