Since 1992, the Visitors Center has provided information and assistance to all those visiting Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Hillsborough and the two dozen other communities of Orange County, and those planning to visit here. The Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau works closely with the two other visitors centers (at UNC and in Hillsborough) and numerous other organizations to promote visits, vacations and meetings in Orange County. The Clay Centre includes a co-operative studio, private studios, a teaching studio and a Gallery for pottery created at The Clay Centre. The gallery features porcelain and stoneware work including tea pots, tea bowls, platters, bowls, lanterns and other unique pieces created in Clay Centre studios. Classes are taught three times a year in 7 week sessions. Visit the gallery and teaching studio weekdays between 10am and 4pm.
